Jan de Rooden (NL), very large, dynamic, elongated pot on four legs, constructed from slabs of clay, pinched in the middle, flaring outwards at the top and bottom, the four legs extend across the entire body of the pot at the front and back and protrude at the top, with a small elongated opening at the top. After the first biscuit firing, the skin was rubbed with a mixture of metal oxides. A Norwegian matt feldspar glaze was applied over this in varying thicknesses. After the second firing, this creates a lively effect. Height 41.5 cm, width 30 cm, depth 28.3 cm, weight 12 kg, artist's stamp Idol, 1991. Note: acceptable chipping on the inside of some legs.
