A very rare ceramic hexagonal box by Lies Cosijn. The large lidded box depicts images of naked women and checkered floors and black lines. The lid depicts leaves and the Dutch text 'Peerke is nog niet dood' / Peerke is not yet dead (after the poet W.G. van de Hulst). Chamotte clay with brown and black sintering engobes. A comparable piece is in the collection of Museum Boijmans-Van Beuningen Rotterdam (gift by Mw. Willems in 2010).
