Hoshino Kayoko (Japan, 1949) – a multi-sided autonomous bowl shape formed by renowned Japanese ceramicist Hoshino Kayoko. All sides with grey-brown carved skin. When you turn the object, you discover its many faces. A piece worth studying and attentive enjoyment. Height 12.6 cm, width 23 cm, depth 20.5 cm, 2001. This object was purchased by the first owner from Gallery Carla Koch in Amsterdam. Technical details: the clay comes from a local stream, it is rich in fine stones, handmade, decorated with saw cuts, oxidising firing where gas was introduced in part of the firing process for a reducing atmosphere..
