Johnny Rolf (NL) – tulip vase with three spouts

Johnny Rolf (NL), an early tulip vase with three spouts, thrown by hand, chamotte clay, grey-green feldspar glaze, height 30.7 cm, width 25.2 cm, 1963/1964. This object was purchased by the first owners directly from the artist’s studio on the Kloveniersburgwal in Amsterdam. Remark: in the same period the artist also made a tulip vase with five spouts (former collection J.W.N. van Achterbergh). Quality: at the base are two chips (see the last photo), these have been professionally restored by Noor Camstra (NL).
