Jan de Rooden (NL) – large rectangular block on foot with title ‘De Zee’ (the Sea), slab built with clay from own mixing, stoneware, incised horizontal lines in feldspar glazed frieze, height 24 cm. At the time this object was purchased by the first buyers in Gallery Ina Broerse in Amsterdam.
