    Hans de Jong (NL) – elegant ‘Polderpot’

    Again in the collection: Hans de Jong (NL), a large handthrown elegant bowl, titled ‘Polderpot’, earthenware, below a horizontal line the body is with incised vertical ‘landscape’ lines, which are filled with a matt glaze from brown to blue, brown-green enamel comes from the inside to the middle of the outer side, height 13.5 cm, diameter 21 cm, 1977. This large bowl is acquired by the first owner at Gallery De Fiets in Delft. The artist was inspired by the dutch polderlandscape in De beemster, where he was living at the time.
