Jeanne Opgenhaffen was born in 1938. Initially, she followed the course for a regular teaching job in visual education (Plastic Formation). At a certain point she starts to study ceramics at the Royal Academy of Fine Arts in Antwerp. After the training Jeanne establishes herself as a ceramist. Initially she works figuratively. In 1992, after an impressive trip to Israel, she says goodbye to this. Jeanne searches for the movement of applied pictures, leaves, tubes, etc. in a larger flat surface. Light and shadow play an important role in this. Jeanne also works with printed porcelain.
