Lies Cosijn (NL), sculpture “Restrained–Exultant”, a double figure in which the short section with arms and head can be carefully slid over the standing section. The sculpture is
hand-formed from thin sheets of stoneware clay; the whole is decorated with the drawings and colours characteristic of Cosijn’s later period, heights 45.5 and 52.5 cm respectively, c. 1991. This object was purchased by the first owners from Galerie Petit in Amsterdam.
