    Beate Andersen is born in 1942 in Copenhagen. Between 1960 and 1964 she was taught at the Kunsthandvaerkerskolen in Copenhagen, department ceramic with Richard Kjaergaard. Since 1964 she is in the workshop community Strandstræde Ceramics in Copenhagen with Gunhild Aaberg and Jane Reumert. Her second workshop is in Allerod. In 1971 work as a designer for Dansk Design. In 1999 she becomes member of the AIC Geneva. Study trips to Nepal in 1988 and Tiber, in 1992 to India, in 1999 to Andalusia, in 2005 to Syria and Jordan, in 2009 to Peru. Activities at the Schools of Applied Arts in Copenhagen and Kolding (Text: Thormann).

    Vessels, bowls and boxes in stoneware, thin-walled turned or built, sometimes deformed, often designed strictly out of the cylinder or from the ball with painted geometric contrasting decors in black engobe on matt surfaces covered with color (Text: Thormann).
