    Marguerite Friedländer was born in 1896 in Écully near Lyon. Her family moves to Berlin in 1910. She follows from 1919 to 1925 a training in Berlin. From 1919 to 1928 she studied at the Bauhaus Potters School (sinds 2019 a museum) in Dornburg near Weimar (DE). From 1928 to 1933 she taught at the Bauhaus School in Burg Giebichenstein in Halle /Saale (DE). She designed various dinner services. In 1933 she left Germany with Franz Wildenhain and settled in Putten in the Netherlands. Here they started the pottery ‘t Kruikje (small bottle). In 1936 Marguerite designs for the Sphinx in Maastricht two services. Around 1940 Friedländer left for the USA. In 1942 she established the Pond Farm Pottery in Guerneville (CA). Franz Wildenhain rejoins her after the war in 1947. Marguerite Friedländer died in Guerneville in 1985.
