Les Manning is born in Provost – Alberta (CA). He visits the Alberta College of Art in Calgary. He majored there in 1966. He moved to Banff and developed the Ceramic department at the Banff Centre. His inspiration is the nature and especcially the Rocky Mountains. His laminated stoneware and porcelain pieces are an abstract impression of this Rocky Mountain landscape. Les Manning was representeed in the Netherlands by Galerie Carla Koch, Amsterdam.
