Kathi Müller is born in 1953. She is citizen of Stilli, lives and works in Zurich (CH). Between 1970-74 she visits the Ecole d’Art Applique in Vevey, Ceramics Department. In 1974 she works at Roger le Dieu Pottery, Norwich (GB). Between 1975-82 she works in the ceramics industry (Ceramics A. Burkart Manufactory), development, design, decoration. In 1982 she opens her studio in Zurich. Between 1987-89 she visits the school of Design in Bern, art classes with Anna Winteler, Ueli Berger, Dieter Seibt. Between 1988-91 she is a Co-Director of a Ceramic Workshop, City of Zurich. Between 1991-92 Kathi has a teaching position at the School of Design Bern, ceramics classes. Kathi works as an artist in residence at the E K W C Heusden (NL) from 17 August 1992 till 27 November 1992. In 2014 she opens a studio in Baltenswil near Zurich. Awards 1989 1st prize, Biennale CH-Keramik. 1990 Gold medal for sculpture at the International Ceramic Biennale , Valauris (F). 1992 Scholarship, European Ceramic Workcentre (NL). Grant from the canton of Aargau + studio in the Cite des Arts, Paris. 1993 6 month Cité des Arts, Paris award from the Canton Aargovie.
