    AKAJI Ken (JPN) – diagonally folded lidded box in Kutani technique

    AKAJI Ken (JPN), lidded box consisting of two parts, cut from a handthrown shape. These parts are placed diagonally in relation to each other, forming a closed unit. Thick porcelain, transparent high-gloss glaze, matt applied parts in red, with gold interior details (Kutani technique), height 12 cm, width 24.5 cm, depth 20 cm, 2000s. This object was purchased by its first owners from Galerie Carla Koch in Amsterdam.
