Betty Woodman (USA) – oval basket in Montelup clay

Betty Woodman (USA), basket, hand thrown, deformed and oval mounted, Montelup Clay, with imposed diagonally placed notched ribbons, made by the artist in her studio in Antella (Florence – Italy), artist stamp and relief fish at the side, around 1978. Provenance: lady owners of Galerie Kapelhuis in Amersfoort (NL). A comparable smaller piece with handle in the collection of The Metropolitan Museum New York.
