Dam, Wouter – early containerform with an attempt to escape

Wouter Dam demonstrates with this thrown container in stoneware that he wants to escape from the predictable round structure (which he did in all his later works). One side of the pot is partly cutted open and the slabs have been lenthened till the artist could create a V- shape bulge. It now looks more or less like a knights helmet. The matte color of the glaze is medium brown.
