Gerd Hiort Petersen (DK) – large round lidded box with incised lines with gold

Gerd Hiort Petersen (DK), large round lidded box, thrown on  the wheel, porcelain, polished, the upper part with fine incised mostly vertical lines, in rust and blue filled in and interrupted by thicker gold lines, the underside with painted vertical lines in dark brown with horizontal thick blue lines, central a painted ‘lock’, on top of the lid an incised circle with line decoration in gold, the inside with high-gloss white glaze, monogram GHP in the lid and on the base, height 15.4 cm, diameter 17.8 cm, ca. 1990.
