    Kate Malone (UK) – Jug, ‘Green man smiling’

    Kate Malone (UK), jug, thrown and handmolded, stoneware, so called carnivalware with title ‘Green man Smiling’, in the front a smile icon surrounded by leaves, running blue, green, yellow and red glazes over embossed daisy motifs, the looping handle with spiralling incised lines ending in a curl, incised signature at the bottom, around 1999. This piece was acquired from Loes & Reinier International Ceramics Gallery Deventer (NL) in 1999. Note: the white spot in Smileys face is just an reflection of light. Compare picture 1 and 2.
