Marianna Franken – stoneware bowl

Marianna Franken made this attractive stoneware bowl in the period 1971-1977. The surface has a ribbed structure. There are splashes of engobes with feldspar / rutile glaze both in- and outside in various earthtones. She learned this way of decorating a pot from the English potters, esp. from Bernard Leach and his school.
