McLoughlin – a bowl with handle titled ‘I am too’

The work of the for more than twenty years in Amsterdam living and working Irish ceramist Deirdre McLoughlin tempts many ceramic lover. The bowl with handle titled ‘I am too’ is in fact a sculpture. One could imaging seeing this piece in a meters high version in one of the important squares around the world. This piece is hand built and shaped and after the firing proces polished for hours. From this shape more varieties do excist, but all carefully built by hand and in various colours and clays. So, always a unique piece. With this concept Deirdre won the Westerwald Keramikpreis 2004.
