Melis van der Sluis (Bolsward-NL 1931 – Hamilton-NZL 2023), landscape vase form, constructed from slabs of clay on an oval base, the surface intensively worked on both sides with wide and narrow incised marks, coloured in with engobes including the blue lane depicting the river in front of the artist’s house, at the top diagonally an opening, height 27.3 cm, incised signature, 1970s-1980s.
