Set of four very fine biblical tiles – Rotterdam – 18th century

Four very fine Dutch Delft tiles, depicting biblical scenes (The prodigal son as swineherd, Luke 15:14-17; The prodigal son returns home, Luke 15:20-21; Jesus, walking on the sea of Galilee, saves Peter, Matt. 14:28-31; Beheading of John the Baptist, Mark 6:27) in octagons; double leaf corner motif, made by the Aalmis famili tile works on Schiedamsedijk, Rotterdam, 1740-1775.
