Wouter Dam (NL) experimented with new (container) forms early in his career, forever breaking free from the purely thrown round form. With this large bowl, the artist has shifted the wall in two places under the falling back shoulder. Hand-thrown, stoneware, white-firing sherd, matt pink-beige glaze, height 17.3 cm, diameter 22 cm, 1989. Minimal chipping to the turned-off foot (see photo).
