My background is in healthcare. For many years I greatly enjoyed working as an evening, night and weekend supervisor in a nursing home. Since my husband and I founded Capriolus Contemporary Ceramics in 2000, I have had to divide my attention between my own profession and the company. Together we have visited many auctions, fairs and private collectors.

I am particularly interested in the purchasing side of the work. In a gallery like ours there are many tasks to take care of, such as correspondence, bookkeeping, presenting the objects and setting up exhibition stands. I very much enjoy welcoming ceramics enthusiasts during the opening of our gallery on Fridays. For both my husband and me, it is not so much about selling, but about the encounter.
