Nirdosh Petra van Heesbeen graduated in 1974 from the Royal Academy of Art and Design in ’s-Hertogenbosch and has worked ever since as an independent ceramic artist. This book offers an extensive overview of the fifty year development of her ceramic work. The book “Na hete vuren / Baptêmes des grands feux / Baptism of Fire” is produced in full colour with a hard cover and measures 28 by 28 cm. In addition to a wealth of visual material, the publication includes written contributions in Dutch, French and English by Wendy Gers (PhD), curator of contemporary ceramics at the Princessehof National Museum of Ceramics, Sabrina Silamo, editor in chief of La Revue de la Céramique et du Verre, and Brian Erhardsen, a Danish collector.
